Throwback 2025: My Journey in Motion

Throwback 2025: My Journey in Motion

2025 changed the scale of my work.

From painting murals across Vietnam to opening my solo exhibition in Ho Chi Minh City, this year pushed my art far beyond the studio into public spaces, the media, and new collaborations. It wasn’t always smooth, but it was real, intense, and deeply transformative.

Here’s a look back at the projects, challenges, and breakthroughs that shaped my year as a contemporary artist moving between France and Vietnam.

1) Key Moments & Themes

1.1. Mural Projects: Stories Told on Concrete

For me, 2025 was a year defined by the scale of public art and the profound power of collaboration. Every mural is a site-specific creation, meticulously designed to honor the architectural integrity and the unique pulse of its environment. These are not just decorations, but permanent installations that breathe with the community.

1.1.1. Six On Six Mural | Da Nang

Over six days of intense focus, I curated a color palette and linework that mirror the café’s unique atmosphere. The project went beyond decoration, adding a layer of warmth and personality that enhanced the existing "vibe" of the space.

1.1.2. Little Giant School Mural | Da Nang

This project transformed into a shared creative experience, bringing a vibrant underwater world to life. By involving the community, the process allowed children to express their imaginations freely.

1.1.3. The Junkyard Mural | Nha Trang

Moving from Da Nang to Nha Trang, I met the dark, empty walls of The Junkyard. This project was one of my most significant challenges, both technically and emotionally. I chose to paint instinctively, weaving ethnic-inspired patterns onto the walls without a rigid plan. Each stroke flowed naturally, allowing the energy of the bar to dictate the rhythm of the art.

1.1.4. Hoi An Mural Festival (Ve Voi Pho Bien)

Participating in the "Ve Voi Pho Bien" festival, I integrated complex Vietnamese ethnic patterns into the coastal landscape. The project created a magical blend of traditional heritage and the modern spirit of street art, set against the backdrop of the beach.

Each project pushed me to adapt to new environments and local communities. As a mural artist in Da Nang, I draw deep inspiration from the city's unique energy, translating it into large-scale mural commissions across Asia. My works serve as a powerful reminder: public art is not just about the physical wall, it is about the people who walk past it, live with it, and find a piece of themselves within the art.

1.2. TV & Media Appearances: Beyond the Canvas

Beyond the studio, 2025 marked a significant expansion into media exposure and curatorial leadership. These milestones challenged me to communicate my vision through storytelling, interviews, and community-building, bridging the gap between my work and the public.

1.2.1. DNRT TV Feature | September 2025

In September, I achieved a career milestone with my first television feature on Da Nang Radio and Television (DNRT). The segment offered an intimate look into my creative process and my life in Vietnam. Most notably, the broadcast captured a personal breakthrough: speaking Vietnamese on camera for the first time, a gesture that reflected my deep respect and connection to my adoptive home.

1.2.2. The "East Meets West" Exhibition at Sonic | October 2025

Taking on the role of Curator for the Sonic event, I demonstrated my ability to orchestrate complex creative spaces. I transformed an empty room within an abandoned seaside mansion into a curated sanctuary where photography, prints, and paintings lived in harmony.

1.2.3. TV5Monde (French TV) Feature

I was invited for an interview with TV5Monde to discuss my artistic evolution and my unique journey as a French artist established in Vietnam. Despite the unpredictable weather during the two days of filming, the production captured the essence of my work and its cultural intersections. The feature is highly anticipated and set to air in the coming year.

1.2.4. Collaborative Toolkit with CAM HOUSE

Driven by a desire to support fellow creators, I collaborated with CAM HOUSE to launch a specialized Toolkit (Art Space Handbook). This project serves as a comprehensive resource that connects and empowers the art community, offering practical guidance on building and sustaining creative spaces in Vietnam.

These diverse platforms have allowed me to extend my influence beyond the canvas. Whether by curating an abandoned mansion or sharing my story on international television, I continue to prove that public art in Vietnam is a powerful tool for communication, cultural dialogue, and community transformation.

1.3. Exhibitions & Fine Art Milestones: The Power of Presence

While 2025 was a year of grand public murals and media spotlights, it was also a year of profound artistic maturity. Marking a significant evolution in my career as a French artist in Vietnam, my work found its way into refined gallery spaces and prestigious international settings.

1.3.1. Artistic Showcase at Shilla Monogram Danang

The display of my artworks at Shilla Monogram represented a moment of quiet but powerful recognition. Seeing my pieces integrated into such a refined environment marked an important milestone, proving that my art resonates as deeply in luxury settings as it does on the city streets

1.3.2."ROOTS" Solo Exhibition | Maii Art Space, HCMC

In November 2025, my first solo exhibition, ROOTS, opened at Maii Art Space in Ho Chi Minh City. The exhibition was a resounding success, creating a vibration that extended far beyond the gallery walls.

"ROOTS" collection was not merely a display of finished pieces; it was a vibrant hub for artistic exchange. The exhibition became a meeting point for fellow artists, collectors, and enthusiasts, transforming the gallery into a space for sharing stories and learning. The experience was deeply enriched by these interactions, turning a personal showcase into a collective celebration of contemporary art.

The "ROOTS" collection garnered significant attention from key voices in the art community. I received insightful feedback and positive reviews from esteemed curators, journalists, and art critics, who praised my unique ability to blend French heritage with Vietnamese cultural influences (Read the full reviews here). These responses further solidified my position as a compelling voice in the contemporary art scene.

2. Lessons & Insights: The Soul Behind the Canvas

The year’s primary lesson was simple, yet profound: connection is essential. While the work of an abstract geometric artist is often a solitary act, I discovered that I cannot truly thrive in isolation.

By stepping beyond my comfort zone and engaging with diverse communities, I found that collective energy offers a unique kind of support - a wellspring of inspiration that solitary work cannot fully replace

Through the inevitable highs and lows of the year, three core values emerged as my anchors:

  • Patience: meaningful growth is a slow burn. It comes not from rushing forward, but from showing up consistently, day after day.
  • Self-Trust: learning to rely on intuition, especially when the path ahead felt uncertain, or the outcome of a project was unclear.
  • Perseverance: reaffirming my commitment to vision during the quiet moments of doubt that every creator inevitably faces.

In 2026, I continue to expand my artistic language, deepening my presence within the creative community while relentlessly exploring new, uncharted territories of creation.

  • new mural collaborations
  • new exhibitions
  • launch of high-quality art prints and exclusive limited editions
  • and a deeper exploration of how art can live within spaces and communities
